The best of the best in the world of athletics are honored at the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame, where visitors can pay homage to everyone from Barry Sanders and Mickey Mantle to Shannon Miller and Troy Aikman. The Hall of Fame also annually issues the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award, one of the nation’s top collegiate sports honors, recognizing performance on the field as defensive backs, athletic ability and character.

Currently, 184 Oklahoma sports figures and two “teams of legend” have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, and nearly 300 are on the list of nominees. The 10,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art museum offers free admission, guided iPad tours and is open to the public. It includes exhibits on Jim Thorpe, Paycom Jim Thorpe Award winners and the members of the Hall of Fame itself, in addition to housing the Oklahoma Tennis Hall of Fame.

The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame is located on the northwest corner of the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Questions before you visit? You can reach the museum at info@oksportshof.org.
