Stretching over 3,600 square miles, Lake of the Arbuckles was built by the Bureau of Reclamation in 1966 and continues to be a haven for all types of visitors, from avid fishermen to families seeking fun and relaxation. Attractions and activities abound, including the Chickasaw National Recreation Area (CNRA), Turner Falls, and the Chickasaw Cultural Center. Entertainment doesn't set with the sun, but continues through the evening at the Arbuckle Ballroom, a venue that often features bluegrass and Red Dirt bands.
