The Empress of Soul comes to rule the WinStar Global Event Center stage Friday, January 10, at 8 p.m. performing hits from her days with the Pips as well as a string of solo tracks.

Gladys Knight first achieved international success with the Pips, a family affair that included her brother and cousins. Grammy-winning “Midnight Train to Georgia,” “Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)” and “Love Overboard” positioned Knight perfectly for a solo career.

On her own, Knight recorded the mega hit “That’s What Friends Are For” with Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder and Elton John, as well as the theme song for the 1989 James Bond film, “Licence to Kill.” She went on to collaborate with Patti LaBelle, Ray Charles, Johnny Mathis and more, solidifying her name on the list of living legends.
