The Wheeler District is a burgeoning urban neighborhood just west of the Boathouse District. Its main attraction is the historic Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel (purchased on eBay in 2008), which stands 100 feet above the south bank of the Oklahoma River and overlooks the downtown skyline.

Another popular attraction is the large white OKC sign, which is incredibly Instagrammable! The Wheeler Riverfront Plaza also offers hammocks, games, concessions, a seating area and goodies like t-shirts and prints.

Close to Wheeler Ferris Wheel is Taco Nation, serving up local favorite tacos a la carte, nachos and salads, and The Big Friendly Brewery & Taproom offers a wide variety of tasty beer and organic wine. Don’t miss the district’s premier cycling festival, The Wheeler Crit, taking place every Tuesday from March to August.
