Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon

at Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is a prestigious, Boston-qualifying run held each year to honor the victims of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Voted one of the 12 "must-run" marathons in the world by Runner’s World magazine, the marathon's 26.2 miles traverse some of the city's most scenic neighborhoods.

The 19th annual #RUNtoREMEMBER is Changing the Course of OKC with a brand new route that begins at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, winds through the Capitol campus, Lake Hefner trail and Oklahoma City’s historic neighborhoods before finally ending back at the Gates of Time. Along the way, runners pass 168 banners, each bearing the name of one of the bombing victims.

Runners can also take part in the half marathon, the marathon relay, the memorial 5K and the kids marathon.

The wheelchair athletes begin at 6:25 a.m. The marathon, half marathon and relay begin at 6:30 a.m., the 5K begins at about 7 a.m. and the kids marathon begins at 8:15 a.m. Participants and spectators are invited to meet at the Survivor Tree at 5:30 a.m. for an inspiring pre-race sunrise service. Announcements start at 6 a.m. and include 168 seconds of silence.

Also new in 2019 is the Finish Line Festival presented by Continental Resources. Runners and spectators can gather for food and live music by Matt Stansberry & The Romance on the Devon Lawn at Myriad Botanical Gardens.
