Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon

at Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is a prestigious, Boston-qualifying run held each year to honor the victims of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Voted one of the 12 “must-run” marathons in the world by Runner’s World magazine, the Memorial Marathon brings tens of thousands of runners from around the world to Oklahoma City while upholding the mission of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.

There’s a distance and challenge for everyone in 2023! The Why We Run Weekend Series is a way to double the events you participate in and your impact. Participants will run the 5K on Saturday and the Marathon or Half Marathon on Sunday in addition to receiving a Why We Run Series medal and shirt. The Governor’s Challenge returns, so keep training! Governor Stitt and his team will be running the Relay, so don’t miss your chance to beat his team’s time and get a special commemorative shirt.

By running the 2023 Marathon or Half Marathon in Oklahoma City and Tulsa’s Williams Route 66 Marathon, you will receive an Oklahoma Standard Challenge medal in your Williams Route 66 race packet. This is a great way to honor the reason behind the Memorial Marathon and take part in two special Oklahoma events.
