Farm-to-table experiences provide opportunity to harvest naturally grown, local produce to be transformed into a nutritious meal! Every first and third Thursday through November, the Chickasaw Cultural Center hosts agritours to share the vegetables and herbs grown in its seasonal gardens.
The unique tours begin with the history of traditional planting methods and how Chickasaw ancestors used various plants before chefs in the Aaimpa’ Café assist you in preparing the fresh ingredients you’ve collected. The experience begins at 1 p.m. and lasts approximately three hours. Participants are encouraged to dress according to the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Tours are $10 per person.
For more information and to reserve your tour, contact the Special Events office at 580-622-7130 or email special.eventsccc@chickasaw.net. Spaces are limited so book yours while you can!
