Bricktown was founded directly after the Land Run of 1889 and became Oklahoma City's first warehouse and distribution district. As the central hub of the state, it helped connect cities via railroad and, eventually, through highways.

But today, this historic warehouse district has been revitalized into a thriving entertainment district with both nightlife and family-friendly activities. Lower Bricktown is home to Harkins Bricktown 16 and Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill.

Journey just across the street and you’ll meet the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Nearby is Brickopolis, a popular entertainment center featuring mini golf, laser tag and arcade games.

Live music fans have several choices for top-notch venues in Bricktown. There's the black box ACM@UCO Performance Lab, where the likes of Dr. Dog and Karla Bonoff have performed. Then there's the Chevy Bricktown Events Center, featuring stadium-style concerts in a more intimate setting; heavy-hitters like Robert Plant, The White Stripes and The Flaming Lips have all graced this stage.

With its mile-long canal with water taxis, dozens of restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining, the Exhibit C Native American art gallery, the American Banjo Museum, retail shopping and a variety of hotels, there's no shortage of things to do in Bricktown.
